Road Trippin'

I was invited by my friend Moe to spend this past weekend in her grandparents' cabin in Pinewood, AZ (near Flagstaff). So seven of us college kids crammed into a couple of cars and headed north. I was shown yet again just how much natural beauty this state has to offer.

A male Western fence lizard somehow let me get this close to him.

A peaceful moment, and another reason why I need a polarized filter.

My first sojourn into night photography. I definitely have a lot to learn here.

An unidentified spider.

A nymph pallid-winged grasshopper blends in with leaves on the ground.

We hiked the famous lava tubes and made it to the end, where we of course took ridiculous photos. What a fantastic trip!
